The project

A calmer way to manage your Deck

Copy2Deck exists to make useful Steam Deck workflows accessible from the Windows desktop—without hiding what it does.

Why Copy2Deck

Powerful tools should still feel straightforward.

Steam Deck is a wonderfully open device, but moving files and finding game data often means switching to Desktop Mode, opening a terminal, or memorizing Linux paths. Copy2Deck turns those recurring jobs into focused, understandable actions.

The project favors direct local connections, clear confirmation before destructive operations, and useful feedback during long transfers. It is designed for people who want the flexibility of an open PC handheld without needing to become Linux administrators.

Project principles
01

Local first

Your transfers travel directly across your own network. There is no Copy2Deck cloud account in the middle.

02

Clear by default

Human-readable locations, progress, previews, confirmations, and logs make operations easier to understand.

03

Respect the device

Copy2Deck uses standard SSH and SFTP capabilities already available in SteamOS instead of requiring software on the Deck.

Support the project

Help Copy2Deck grow.

Copy2Deck is an independent project. Your support helps cover development time, testing, hosting, and the work needed to make Steam Deck file management easier for everyone.
