A straightforward approach to privacy
Copy2Deck is designed to move files directly between your Windows PC and Steam Deck. This policy explains what the app and copy2deck.com do with information.
What Copy2Deck collects
Copy2Deck does not require an account, does not upload your files, and does not sell personal information.
The Windows application
Connection details, saved credentials, backup profiles, trusted Deck identities, and transfer settings are stored locally on your Windows PC. Saved passwords are protected for your Windows account. Files are transferred directly between your PC and Steam Deck over the SSH/SFTP connection you configure.
The website
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process standard request information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, browser details, and timestamps, under its own privacy practices.
Download buttons record an aggregate daily count for the installer or portable package and release version. We do not store IP addresses, cookies, names, or email addresses in the download counter. These totals measure download starts, not completed downloads.
Support and donations
If you email support@copy2deck.com, we receive the information you include so we can respond. Ko-fi handles optional donations according to its own privacy policy; Copy2Deck does not receive your payment details.
Third-party links
The site links to Cloudflare-hosted downloads, Ko-fi, and Microsoft services. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Review their policies before submitting information to them.
Changes and questions
We may update this policy when the app or website changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. For privacy questions, contact support@copy2deck.com.
